VK Sasikala, a former leader of the AIADMK, has expressed her determination to rejuvenate the party and reinstate the governance model of the late Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa. She asserts that she possesses the necessary knowledge and experience to achieve this goal. Indicating her intention to return to active politics and rebuild the AIADMK, Sasikala commented on the current state of the party, stating that it is her responsibility to bring about change. She emphasized that only someone with experience can resolve the challenges that have arisen. Many believe that entering politics guarantees success, but she insists that effective action is what truly leads to achievement. 'I will certainly bring back Amma's governance. I will do it, or else I won't say anything because I know how to work. Therefore, no matter how difficult it may be, we will restore it.
Addressing Internal Party Challenges
Sasikala further mentioned that her commitment to returning to active politics and strengthening the AIADMK reflects her awareness of the concerns regarding senior leaders joining other parties and the uncertainty within the party. She held the current leadership accountable for creating internal difficulties and stressed that only those with a deep understanding of the party can resolve these issues.
Critique of the Current Government
Speaking about the broader political landscape in Tamil Nadu, Sasikala criticized the current DMK-led state government, urging voters to make informed decisions this time. She noted that while Amma Jayalalithaa was improving Tamil Nadu, the situation has changed significantly now. 'I am losing sleep over this. We governed well, so we understand the pain caused by the current circumstances.'
A Warning to Current Leadership
She warned MK Stalin, stating, 'I will not allow you to form the government again. You cannot return to power.' She also pointed out that during the AIADMK's tenure, privatization of sanitation workers was not an issue, a practice that was avoided while Jayalalithaa was alive.
